The Staff Accountant - Litigation role will be responsible for a full array of litigation services including, but not limited to business valuations, analysis of financial and tax records, income available for support and analysis of marital standard of living. They will possess an understanding of accounting principles and develop professional relationships that contribute to exceptional client service. The successful Staff Accountant will effectively manage their time and deliverables, while taking ownership of assignments and accepting responsibility for work product.

Essential job duties will include, but not limited to: 

  • Ability to perform investigative accounting and discovery tasks;
  • Good client relations skills and ability to communicate with attorneys;
  • A general understanding of business valuation approaches & methodologies is a plus;
  • Be able to balance and effectively deliver on multiple projects and job responsibilities under restrictive time constraints;
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills;

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and QuickBooks
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • CPA license required
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Self-starter that is organized and flexible to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to best practices of the firm and consistently demonstrate ethical behavior
  • Ability to work individually or in a collaborative work environment
  • Will consider candidates with a strong public accounting background looking to transition into litigation
